Crossing lines
Yesterday we walked to California Avenue, and back. I had my camera and a couple of lenses in my backpack, and I never got them out. I never felt any reason to do so. Was I still feeling drained, or surfeited, from all the photographs I made in the Rockies? Today I walked to downtown and back. Shopping downtown, I ran out of space in my backpack, so I was carrying my camera in my hand. Recently, I’ve developed the habit of starting photographing by taking a relatively random photo, just to warm up my eye, to check everything is set properly on the camera, to see how the light is working.
I took a photo and looked at it on the lcd, took another, and had an idea. I would look for lines, I would explore the idea of lines crossing, and see what I got. I enjoyed the walk home. Maybe one of the photographs will be good enough to be considered for my Path Ways portfolio.
