The day my hand froze
Of course, my hand didn’t really freeze, but it hurt enough, when I took my glove off to fix a problem with a lens, that I decided I’d done enough photographing for this outing. Probably not such a great idea to be changing lenses on a day like today. Last weekend it was so unseasonably warm that just about all the snow disappeared, and this weekend a cold front is visiting from the arctic. Considering I’ve had a cough and other stuff the last few days, I probably shouldn’t have been out anyway, but I wanted to practice stitching panoramas and some other things, so I put on two of just about everything and here I was. This photo is of our friend Pam and her, and Ian’s, dog Lily, who appeared at the same point as me (what I think of as the back way into Barton Dam) for their afternoon constitutional.
